Consuelo Chierici / VISUAL ARTIST
Born in Milan. Sculptor and performing artist. At the end of the '80s she moved to New York where she attended the New School of Social Research (BS in Liberal Arts and diploma at the Mannes College of Music in Music and Audio engineering) and is one of the creators of the group VIRUS .
His work has a thematic development that finds its lyrical landing in subtle and mysterious tales. Absolutely out of the bizarre fashions of the market, Consuelo creates ancestral presences, luminous objects, rocking or frozen. Silent cities, bodies torn from a denied sensuality. Chessboards where the game is made impossible by an abstract geometry. An entire evocative alphabet that leads to reflections on the very meaning of existence.
Giancarlo Savino was born in Naples. Painter and sculptor. He declares himself self-taught. He has lived in Copenhagen and Paris. In 1986 in Naples he founded the STUDIAPERTI movement for the affirmation of the independence of art from the galleries that select artists according to market and lobby criteria. He has worked in the experimental theater collaborating with the Alfred Jarry Theater (1969). He is among the creators of the group VIRUS. Since 1997 he lives in Rome. Antonio Tabucchi wrote that Savino's painting is a mixture between an expressionist sign and the light stroke of Indian ink and the delicate tones of watercolor. At the center of his works there is always the human figure, an expressionist sign that transfigures man, in a sort of supernatural being.
